Response to intervention

Qwizdom’s ReadySet:

A state-standard specific curriculum program used to teach and reinforce concepts in reading, mathematics, and science. ReadySet easily identifies student deficiencies and aids in their remediation. ReadySet can be used in both a problem solving model and a functional assessment model in RTI education.

RTI’s Tier 1 in Response to Intervention establishes baseline knowledge based on classroom-size groups. Using Qwizdom’s ReadySet standard-specific lessons, teachers can augment their own lessons and then rapidly assess and score the understanding of the entire class. Those students needing more exposure to concepts are rapidly identified. Alternate lessons can then be offered. Students identified as needing more one-to-one help can be moved to the Tier 2 environment.

Tier 2 in Response to Intervention takes smaller groups of students, which are identified in the Tier 1 classroom setting, and personalizes their learning experience. Qwizdom’s ReadySet program offers several standard-specific lessons for each concept, so no time is wasted searching for alternate teaching material. Qwizdom’s ReadySet series of curricular lessons are short and standard specific, thus lending themselves well to small group teaching situations. Total understanding is again quickly and efficiently scored and records stored using the reporting system.

Tier 3 in Response to Intervention further identifies those individual students in need of remedial lessons to bring them up to grade level standards. It also helps identify those students in need of special education support. Qwizdom’s ReadySet not only offers lessons at all grade levels, and thus can offer the needed refresher level lessons, but also scores and keeps comprehensive records. If selected, students can work through any level of lesson or activity at their own pace, thus offering an unrestricted environment for students to complete their tasks. This allows teachers and administrators to further individualize remediation.
