By expanding the answers to include problem-solving techniques and question analysis strategies, students are given instruction at the moment when they are most receptive.

Each grade-level package features a pretest and a posttest, daily mini-lessons, and periodic reviews addressing specific grade level learning goals. Educators can begin with a pretest to determine student needs and follow with the focused lessons that target those needs. ReadySet® curriculum can be easily customized to meet the varying needs of districts, individual teachers, and students. Within the program, teachers can edit the existing activities, choose which activities to use, or easily create their own activities to meet the needs of their students.

Assessment questions and mini-lessons can be presented visually to the whole class, used for small group instruction, used as individual self-paced activities, or presented in engaging game formats, a favorite of students. Reviewing concepts in exciting game formats reinforces student learning. ReadySet’s short, focused assessment and instruction activities (15-20 minutes) target specific skills students must master to succeed on state testing.

Qwizdom’s remotes provide an effective means of holding all students accountable to be engaged in the learning process, since all are expected to respond. It is a way to keep all students on task, because the teacher knows immediately which students are or are not responding. Hence, the classroom is no longer a place where only those confident or brave enough to raise their hand or answer a question will be engaged in the learning process. At the same time, remotes yield more independent and honest responses than a show of hands. Hand-raising frequently leads to changed responses after students see their peers’ responses.

Qwizdom’s data and assessment system provides real-time data about the learning and progress of individual students or the entire class. It also provides information that allows teachers to immediately self-assess the effectiveness of instruction and make on-the-spot adjustments to maximize learning.
